Collecting extensive Marketing and Sales experience on the way, he moved into General Management in the late ‘70s and spent the last five years at  Northern Foods running 5 UK businesses and 2 in Ireland (£450m Sales and 4000 people).

Executive Coaching

He now spends much of his time as chair of his established Vistage group in Yorkshire whilst still enjoying non-executive roles with two successful family-owned businesses in Yorkshire, Food From Britain (a DEFRA sponsored agency) and St. Anne’s, a Leeds based Care and Housing charity.

Vistage members find that the peer advisory and leadership development training we provide has a profound effect on their growth as a leader. Not surprisingly, our members soon discover that their companies also experience significant growth as a direct result of the executive coaching provided by their Vistage group.

Vistage works because in every group and in every meeting, no topic is off-limits. If you are willing to talk candidly about the tough decisions you face, fellow members will rally around you, listen, ask tough questions and bring to bear every resource they have to help you grow as a leader and improve the workings of your business.

With 3 grown-up children long flown, David lives near York with his second wife Judy. Both are would-be better golfers and bridge players.
