Ian Price

The South Downs & Solent, Southern England

Working in businesses ranging from well-known high street brands, international blue-chip organisations to start-ups. Over thirty years Ian has developed a reputation for building  successful teams who have established new businesses or turned around companies facing serious challenges both in the private and very public sector. His time with Kingfisher, William Hill, Paddy Power, LVS and Cryptologic has meant he has had a breadth of roles and experience that has included new business and product launches, mergers, acquisitions and truly global business leadership.

Although an operator at heart, Ian’s leadership roles have meant he has had to understand and develop his skills in all of the facets of running a successful SME or large corporate, especially within sales, marketing, finance and technology.

Once out of corporate life, Ian established a consulting business that worked with large global organisations to improve the effectiveness of their senior operational teams, worked on the launch of a new digital payments business, helped businesses establish new senior leadership teams and worked in robotic process automation.

Ian was Chief Executive of The Academy for Chief Executives prior to its acquisition by Vistage.

Ian likes to spend time trekking, cycling and travelling as well as writing for pleasure and listening to live music.

Vistage Chairs are seasoned business executives and come from a variety of backgrounds and industries. We hand-pick them based on some common and well-proven criteria. They’re great listeners; they’re people-orientated and results driven. The role of a Vistage Chair is to ensure that every bit of experience and wisdom is applied in each Vistage meeting. Our Chairs are accomplished leaders (many are former MDs or CEOs). They are part facilitator, part coach and are committed to the success of their group members.
