Matthew Scott

West Midlands, Vistage Chair

Matthew is an experienced managing director, marketing leader and strategist with knowledge of consumer goods and B2B environments. Working throughout the UK he has spent a significant proportion of his time engaged in and around the construction, manufacturing and engineering sectors. He has worked in PLCs, private equity backed and privately owned businesses ranging from £3m to £650m turnover, many of which have been in growth, turnaround, as well as merger, acquisition and exit situations.

His successes have come through developing high performing leadership teams, leading large groups of people in growth situations, developing change strategies and delivering industry leading customer experiences. As a CEO himself he came to realise just how lonely it can be in that role. He comments, “It was something that was always missing, an opportunity to meet with peers who had no vested interest, but with the knowledge and experience that I could draw on to make me a more successful leader”.

Matthew has strong communication skills and prides himself in getting a result. He believes in honesty and integrity, and creating a collaborative environment in which people can thrive, develop and enjoy what they do.

Today Matthew is creating a team of excellent CEOs, managing directors and business owners who have ambition and a desire to succeed in an ever changing world.
