Paul Hoskins

London

Paul is a highly accomplished entrepreneurial chairman, change consultant and agency founder with over 30 years’ experience in the branding and digital media industry. He founded a Top 100, award winning digital agency called Precedent in 1990 and grew this into a global entity with six offices in three different regions, the United Kingdom, Australia and Greater China.

Throughout his time working in agencies Paul delivered brand, communications and change management strategies and implemented digital transformation technologies for organisations within both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. His detailed knowledge and wealth of experience covers higher education, central and local governments, charities and professional services. Notable clients include the Department of Health, Monash University, the BBC and the British Heart Foundation. His reports and articles on transforming higher education has positioned him as a thought leader both in the UK and Australia.

In 2014 he stepped back from his role as MD at Precedent and moved to Hong Kong to grow a regional presence and develop digital applications for international student recruitment. The years spent working in Asia plus the experience he gained delivering to Western and Chinese brands has given him a good understanding of the cultural and procedural complexities of doing business in the region.

Paul continues to deliver change services to clients through his new company where he focuses on service design for new products and channels. He also specialises in culture change and growing in-house talent to create sustainable teams for self-sufficiency.

As an ex-member himself Paul knows how powerful the Vistage support can be and as a Group Chair, he uses his experience to encourage, guide and mentor CEOs and business owners to flourish and develop as leaders. He believes members gain most when they embrace challenge from their peers and can use this to not only examine their decisions but also the thought processes used to make them. Through careful member selection of a high achieving and diverse group he helps his members achieve sustainable business success and a better work/life balance.

Paul has been happily married to his wife, Sarah, for over thirty five years and has two grown up children. He splits his time between his houses in London and Kent where, if not working, he can often be found customising motorcycles or cycling.
