As an experienced Managing Director, Simon has spent 30 years building and running businesses, ranging from start-ups in the med-tech sector to £20-£30m t/o operations in financial services and healthcare product distribution. These businesses have employed up to 320 people and grown both organically and through acquisitions.
For the last 22 years, Simon has also been a Vistage member in Yorkshire. During this time, he has made some of the biggest and most difficult business decisions of his career. He has first-hand experience of the power of the peer group in delivering stunning results both for himself and his fellow members. This has included maximising business valuations on exit, acquisition and integration successes, plus assembling the right team around each leader.
Simon’s role as a Vistage Group Chair is based on a deep understanding of what motivates and drives his members. He remains passionate about the life-changing guidance Vistage consistently delivers and believes that in sharing this joint understanding, the Chair and members can focus on delivering each individual’s goals.
As well as running his CEO/MD group in Yorkshire, Simon is still a non-exec director of a med-tech start-up, a charity volunteer and enjoys cricket in his free time.
