Colin Morrell, CEO peer group | Vistage UK | London
Chair Bio

Colin Morrell

My mantra follows the African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” My core belief is that trust based relationships and teamwork can deliver extraordinary results.

I am an experienced business leader, facilitator and executive coach, with a personal mission to release the potential in people and the teams they work with, believing this will enable the achievement of extraordinary results. The key to releasing this potential rests in positively challenging limiting beliefs, instilling a growth and learning mindset, coaching people to self-improvement and creating organisational cultures that are collaborative at their core.

My background is in the professional services sector, where after joining Appleyards Chartered Surveyors I acquired and merged organisations using a buy and build strategy, ultimately leading to the sale of the business. I was Chief Executive of Appleyards Ltd from 2007 to 2012, and Managing Director of Artelia UK from August 2014 to November 2016. As a Vistage member for five years I know the experience boosted my knowledge, self-awareness and leadership skills, all of which contributed significantly to the success of the business and its various stakeholders.

I am currently building a high performing MD/CEO group in London; the key attributes of members being a passion to grow (personally and their businesses), a desire to share knowledge and perspectives, and a desire to challenge each other constructively in a safe environment based on trust. I would love for the members of this group to each outperform their competitors!

Personal passions are family, (Maggie and Lucy) premier league football, travel, reading, walking, cooking and enjoying the company of close friends.

If you are a business leader in and around London, and would like to know more about how joining my Vistage Group will enable you to increase your effectiveness, make better decisions and deliver extraordinary results, then feel free to reach out for a conversation.
