A qualified accountant and leadership coach, with an MBA from Durham University, Dianne has more than 25 years of hands on experience in and managing SME businesses. Dianne believes passionately that a key route to improving social outcomes in the North East is through increasing the quantity and quality of thriving businesses in the region and beyond. Inspired by the human ingenuity that took man to the moon in little more than a tin can, containing far less computing power than even today’s most basic mobile phone, Dianne believes fervently in the power of a group or team to solve any problem.

Dianne is married to Anthony and they have two grown up children between them, Jen and Michael. They are also foster parents. Dianne’s passions are family in its widest sense; watching live theatre whenever possible; reading; music and sewing. Dianne believes in feeling the fear and doing it anyway, learning constantly, making a difference and doing things that make you smile every day.
