Gerry McGinn

Gerry McGinn is an experienced business leader who has been Chief Executive of a number of financial institutions in London, Dublin and Belfast as well as Permanent Secretary of two government departments in Northern Ireland. He now has a number of non-executive positions as Chairman of the Strategic Investment Board, Chairman of Capita Asset Services (Ireland), Chairman of HNH Group, and as a board member of the Progressive Building Society. He was previously on the board of Invest Northern Ireland from 2008 to 2015 where he chaired the Audit & Risk Committee for 6 years.

Gerry was recently appointed to the Investment Committee of Queen’s University Belfast and is on the board of governors of a large post primary school. Gerry has extensive experience at board level and particularly in developing and implementing strategies, leading transformational change, developing senior teams and in designing appropriate corporate governance and risk management arrangements. He is married with 3 grown up sons and his interests include golf, running 10ks, reading and current affairs.
