Chair Bio

Harry Wyndham

London, Vistage Chair

Harry has started, grown and run businesses in the UK and overseas. He has also consulted with government departments and regulators, as well as advising on policy and legislative changes in the environmental and energy sectors.

In the mid-1990s Harry co-founded CLP Envirogas, a renewable energy company. He grew the business from one employee to large teams throughout the UK, developing, financing and operating over thirty energy generation projects. Harry then developed similar businesses in Spain and in Central America, once more building portfolios of operating projects from a standing start. A few years ago the UK business was sold for over £120 million, with the overseas projects remaining in private ownership.

Through this journey Harry has gained wide experience of growing and running businesses, building teams, securing finance and working with business partners and institutional shareholders.

He is passionate about helping businesses and business leaders, becoming a coach and mentor a few years ago. Harry is still a director and shareholder in two energy businesses, as well as an advisor to an investment fund. He also advises leaders on communication, including media appearances, presentations or just maintaining authenticity and message with colleagues.

Harry’s sons have restarted his passion for football, but sadly his playing days may be over. He still skies, walks and races classic cars, as well as enjoying history, reading and travel. He tries to ignore the passing of time.
