Mark Fuller

Mark Fuller’s professional background comprises a successful career in the oil and gas industry followed by senior leadership roles in accountancy and private equity.

Mark has a wealth of operational, strategic growth, finance, funding and mergers and acquisitions knowledge and experience. He has, and continues to work with, boards of high growth businesses in a variety of sectors across the UK.

Following a degree in chemical engineering, Mark began his working life with the global services giants, Schlumberger, testing oil and gas wells in the Far & Middle East. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant eight years later with Grant Thornton. He then joined a leading private equity firm in Manchester where he became a Director and Partner. Subsequent roles included Northern Director for Granville Baird Capital Partners before becoming the managing director of Alliance Fund Managers, the fund manager of the £107m Merseyside Special Investment Fund.

Mark joined the Academy for Chief Executives (ACE) in 2004 as a member of a CEO/MD group. He became deputy chair of the group in 2011 and chair in January 2015. He founded a second CEO group in September 2015.
The ACE groups became Vistage CEO Groups in April 2018.

Current members are a lively and growing mix of talented female and male CEOs from diverse business sectors, including large well-known corporates, privately owned and family run companies, public sector, not-for-profit and charitable organisations.

Outside Vistage, Mark has NED roles. He specialises in providing strategic funding and exit planning advice as well as mediation in difficult confrontational situations involving companies and shareholders. His business philosophy is ‘Success is relative but also evolutional – a successful life is a function of what we learn and how we change to achieve what we want’. Mark is passionate about helping leaders in the North West become better versions of themselves and improve the quality of their lives and those of their families, their staff and their communities.

When he is not working Mark keeps busy with his young family. He is also passionate about scuba diving in warm climates and underwater photography.
