Nicola Gunstone


Nicola is an extremely experienced senior executive and leader with 16 years’ commercial leadership and general management experience, holding regional directorships in Europe and Asia Pacific. She has gained her experience working within Global PLCs, SMEs and not for profits, working across a broad range of industries including media, events, charity, professional services, creative, environmental, built environment and healthcare. Her roles have included Head of Brand Europe and then Asia Pacific for Marcus Evans, Division Director for IIR/Informa and Portfolio Director Health & Sport for Reed Exhibitions. She was the CEO of a start-up environmental charity and successfully founded and exited two start-up businesses. She understands first-hand the pains CEOs experience, in fast growth businesses.

Some of her successes have included launching new products and brands into rapidly developing markets, devising and leading a successful crisis management strategy across Asia during the SARs crisis, turning around loss making divisions across two regions, leading and rolling out successful joint ventures to open up new markets. She is most proud of her achievements in building and mentoring high performing management teams.

Nicola has a strong commitment in supporting young people, she is an enterprise advisor for the careers and Enterprise Company where she is engaged to support the development of a whole college strategy for careers, enterprise and employer engagement.

She more recently re-trained and became an accredited executive coach with AOEC and formed her own business as a consultant, coach and mentor. She has now joined Vistage to continue her work with leaders of businesses, enabling them to become outstanding. CEOs have a large reach so have the ability to transform the many, creating the potential for limitless growth and happiness.
