Reducing Unhealthy Conflict
A conflict of ideas is healthy. At times however this conflict of ideas can turn into tension and unproductive conflict. If unhealthy conflict arises between attendees of the senior management team, this can have a major impact on the whole company. People learn the most through modeling and thus the behaviours modelled by the senior team will become the unspoken blueprint for acceptable behaviour throughout the company. How senior managers interact with everyone in the company will also have an impact on morale and confidence within the business.
Unhealthy conflict in your personal life will affect the quality of your life and drain your energy. Learning how to prevent unhealthy conflict or how to handle it as effectively as possible if it does arise, can save a great deal of time (and stress) and will improve the efficiency of any leader.
To make the workshop as practical as possible during the session you will be encouraged to reflect on two relationships (one at work and one in your personal life) that are not as positive as they could be. The workshop will enable you to become clearer about what you have control over, that could lead to an improvement in these two relationships.
This training session involves a combination of formal input/presentation along with small group work and discussion. The workshop is interactive and offers detailed handouts to supplement copies of the slides.
