The Leadership Map Part 1: Emotional Leadership
This interactive and engaging workshop provides participants with an overview of all the key elements of leadership, in an easily digestible form (the Leadership Map), before focusing on the eight leadership practices that CEOs and business leaders should be spending most of their time on: Emotional Leadership.
Each part of the workshop is delivered through theory and context, best practice examples, relevant stories from the speaker’s own experience and finally discussion and personal actions plans.
Each participant is provided with a personal A3 fold out with details of each of the eight elements of Emotional Leadership. During the workshop they will score their own leadership performance in each area and develop actions to take away.
The Leadership Map is explained through an overview of the three key areas of leading a business: Belief and Behaviour, Planning and Execution and Challenging and Supporting.
Each of the eight areas of Emotional leadership are then covered in detail:
- a) Live your Purpose
- b) Inspire a Shared Vision
- c) Modelling the Way: Values
- d) Challenge the Status Quo
- e) Lead Change
- f) Develop High Performing Teams
- g) Encourage the Heart
- h) Show Grit
When looking at the eight areas of Emotional Leadership, it is clear that each area could easily fill a workshop on its own, however, it is also clear that participants will each score differently on the eight areas. The workshop is designed therefore, to provide everyone with enough detail and best practice examples to score their individual performance, and then to develop personalised action plans to improve their leadership and hence the performance of their business.
