Jon Ralph

I lead groups of inspirational, positive business leaders – coaching, mentoring and helping them achieve their goals. Learn from my mistakes, not yours!

I use my considerable experience and insights to help people grow – with their business and personally.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, I joined Avis Rent-a-car and learnt how to make things happen in the operational arena. Being exposed to their ethos, global branding and the way they do business was a guiding light as to what makes successful businesses tick. I learned about putting the customer first and still apply the mantra of “we try harder” to business and to life.

I was appointed a member of the “Avis 100” club (the top 100 employees of the year within the Group) and became FD of Belgium/Luxembourg where we received the “Country of the Year” Award. I’d improved profitability by 150% in year one and achieved real business turnaround in the first 18 months. When Avis acquired a new business, Centrus, I moved to Manchester as CEO.

I gave it all up to start my own business where my team and I were able to establish a £24m turnover business with over 200 staff.

It was then an honour to be recognised by my peers within the Academy for Chief Executives as “Member of the Year ” in 2006.

After selling the business, I helped Grant Thornton develop their Growth 365 program, working with dynamic and ambitious leaders looking to grow their businesses internationally.

I have been Group Chair since 2014, winning the “Newcomer Chair Award” in 2015.

I’m lucky to have been married to the same fabulous wife for 33 years and am super proud of my son and daughter.

I’m passionate about Southampton Football Club, enjoy exploring the world on my GS1200 motorcycle and keeping fit by running and playing golf.
