Simon Walsh

With 30 years’ corporate experience, a strong entrepreneurial streak and a habit of delivering exceptional growth, as an executive coach and business advisor Simon now focuses his time on helping other business leaders make the improvements and changes they seek.

Simon has held senior management positions for over 20 years. He has built his skills and experience within diverse sectors spanning Financial Services, Business Services, Telecoms and Consumer Electronics, working within world class organisations such as Prudential, Lloyds Bank Group, Orange and Samsung.

Simon has lead large, diverse, multi-functional teams, launching new businesses and product categories and delivering outstanding growth levels and brand value.

Early in his career he started his own contract cleaning business, built a strong blue chip client base and, after three years, sold it as a thriving business. There he learned the hard way what it is really like to run your own business and how lonely it can be at the top! He has said that had he known about Vistage then, he would have definitely joined.

With expertise in both B2B and B2C channels, Simon played an important role in the growth of both the Orange and Samsung brands in the UK having joined both very early in their UK corporate lives, thriving on the small business mentality and building the business he was responsible for, to a turnover of over £1bn pa.

More recently, Simon launched a profitable new retail business, helped bring smartphone leasing to the UK and has provided transformational consultancy services to a number of UK businesses.

Simon is married and has three children. He is a keen photographer, a school governor and Junior Rugby coach at Winchester RFC. He loves to learn new skills, believes anything is achievable once one decides to do it and loves spending time with family and friends, watching sport and listening to and playing music.
