Barnaby Wynter

Since entering the ad industry in 1987 Barnaby has worked in a number of leading advertising agencies including Ogilvy and Mather and The Grey Group. In 1999 he became one of the youngest MD’s of a top 200 agency called The Communications Unit. In 2001 he purchased the agency from the retiring founders  and ran this until November 2010  moving the whole model to the ‘cloud’ and is now building a lean business model for a marketing agency through a network of licensed organisations.

The inspiration for this is the fact that marketing has fundamentally changed in the last 5 years and many of the old approaches, for example the USP, demographics, broadcast media, no longer have any application in the way we all make buying decisions.

How does he know this? In 1999 he was introduced to The Brand Bucket®, a decision making process first developed for SAAB in 1985 and applied since then every day to over 2,700 brands worldwide. Today the approach is more effective than when first used.
