  • How taking a strategic ‘solutions-focused’ approach to discussions can bring about more positive outcomes
  • The steps involved – conversational tools and guiding principles
  • How to make it work for you

Outcomes - you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify the needs of high-level stakeholders
  • Apply a pragmatic set of conversational tools to plan and execute tricky conversations
  • Take pre-emptive steps - to stop the discussions becoming difficult
  • Play to people’s strengths, focusing on solutions - not problems
  • Use assertive and easily understood language
  • Remain polite and friendly - even in difficult circumstances
  • Use practical tips, tools and techniques for more productive conversations

The Solutions Focus Approach

Solutions Focus is a pragmatic, positive and highly effective methodology which significantly improves communications for individuals, teams and organisations. Leaders, managers, mediators, coaches and other professionals worldwide are using Solutions Focus as:

  • A direct route to desired results
  • A systematic approach to conversations that makes a big impact wherever there are complex issues with people involved
  • A way of creating respectful and lasting change
  • A method of identifying what works and doing more of it

Focusing on solutions and doing more of what works is not only enjoyable and empowering, it is often much faster and more effective than analysing problems and difficulties and their causes. It can produce more sustainable results and a lasting shift towards continuous client development.
