Releasing Creativity, Soul and Presence at Work
People, teams, organisations ... and the world...are changed by the power of an authentic vision, executed with engagement and consistency. Authentic leaders create, embody and demonstrate this vision every day.
All too often the power of a vision is vastly reduced to a few words, put in a bottom drawer, and looked at once a year in the annual review.
In this workshop you are invited to face your creative fears, envision a future that you want to create, and then paint that vision on canvas. (You don't need to think you have an artistic bone in your body to do it! Just courage and the ability to worry.)
Along the way well explore themes that will greatly develop your entrepreneurial spirit and expand essential leadership knowledge such as:
- When do you feel truly alive? Why is this so important in daily leadership?
- Why every single one of us is creative and why releasing this creativity is fulfilling, productive and engaging.
- Why it's impossible to make a mistake?
- The power of stillness in making good decisions.
- Creating exceptional value.
- Optional: Exploring the four quadrants of vision using the VisionScaping Tool (This is especially useful in full day workshops).
The Experiential "Private View"
A guided interactive experience of Louis' artwork, which poses the question; "What do you experience when you look at art?" In contrast to traditional art events, this is not about the artist; it is about the perspective of the viewer. The artwork is sometimes linked with well-established personality profiling tools to help viewers identify their own style of creativity. It's also a great icebreaker!
When do you feel authentic?
Participants are taken on a guided tour of their interior experience through a simple five minute visualisation of a time when they felt truly authentic. This is a rich practise, designed to help people get back in touch with their personal sense of inspiration. With two creative sessions, we also utilise the powerful of the imagination to explore a moment in the future that participants want to create.
Share your experience.
After writing down this experience, it is shared with a colleague. This is very energising. It builds trust, intuitive listening skills, and enables people to fully explore the moment of inspiration. They also have the honour of hearing a peer make themselves vulnerable whilst sharing something of their authenticity. Often people don't see their colleagues in the same way ever again.
The Tenets and the Tools of creating.
Painting techniques are shared in under 2 minutes. This debunks the myth that creating has to be a long, drawn out process. The three fundamental rules of the creativity are shared. Much to everyone's relief, they find out it is impossible for them to make a mistake, and that we are all creative.
Paint your own VisionScape.
20-30 minutes of unashamed, unbridled, inspired creativity. Often, the art that is created is of an uncommonly high quality. These pieces make beautiful keepsakes, and are cherished by many of the participants. They can be hung in homes, or installed together as a corporate work of art.
Clients "Private View".
It's rare that we see the best qualities in our own creations. This private view enables participants to comment positively on each other’s works, and for the artist to share what they have painted. It's often a very moving experience.
Half day or full day:
A half day workshop includes two creative sessions, and a full day can include up to three creative sessions. This is hard to imagine, but once a leaders creativity is unblocked, there is a distinct urge to repeatedly create.
A full day also allows more time to facilitate the VisionScaping tool which enables the exploration of the four quadrants of successfully implementing a vision.
