Timothy Lyons

London

Timothy has over 40 years’ business experience as an investment banker and entrepreneur, with a reputation as a visionary, a motivator and an ability to deliver.

Between 1979-1992, Timothy was a leader and innovator in areas such as swaps, structured finance and securitisation, working for Manufacturers Hanover, CSFB, Salomon Brothers and Prudential-Bache.

In 1992 he founded Quadrant Capital as a JV with Singer & Friedlander running arbitrage securitisation, before pivoting into asset management and managing over US$7 billion of assets. In 1998 he bought-out Singer & Friedlander and sold Quadrant and its proprietary risk management platform Quasar, to BNY-Mellon in 2002.

Timothy acquired Damyns Hall in 2004, developing it into Greater London’s only private Aerodrome, home to over 40 aircraft and the We Are Festival.

Timothy launched Risk First in 2006 to revolutionise the measurement and management of risk in the global Defined Benefit pensions industry. Risk First has become one of Europe’s more successful B2B FinTech companies and its SaaS-based platform PFaroe, is now used by pension schemes, banks, insurers, asset managers and consultants in the UK and US, to manage over US$750 billion of pension liabilities.
