Paul Pinson

Paul is an executive coach, coach trainer, group facilitator, and creative leader with over 20 years experience in various leadership positions.

For the last 6 years Paul has chaired two groups of CEOs in the East of Scotland with members from a diverse range of businesses including The Insights Group, Endura, IndigoVision PLC, Thorntons Law, Macsween of Edinburgh, BCF Technology, Cornerstone, Dynamic EMS, Hunter Adams and Whitespace. Paul also chairs a group consisting of senior direct reports of some of the CEOs from the above companies and the owner/managers of smaller businesses.

Paul originally studied business and worked for a blue chip assurance company. After changing career and studying theatre he moved to Scotland in the 1980s and was the Founding Chief Executive and Artistic Director of an international theatre company. Over the next 20 years he established it as one of the most pioneering and respected companies in Europe with a repertoire of work created both in the UK and internationally.

During this time Paul produced, wrote and directed some of the most unique productions in recent British theatre history. These took place in a range of extraordinary locations both local and international ranging from a Pacific oceanfront to the Formula 1 circuit in Monaco, and include the largest ever single audience for a Scottish theatre company.

Paul has a Postgraduate qualification in Executive Coaching from Strathclyde University together with specialist emotional intelligence (EQi) qualifications from the Institute of Leadership at Edinburgh’s Napier University.

Paul also runs Brightspace, an executive coaching and organisational development company. Clients range from Scottish SMEs to large multinationals. Work includes executive coaching, leadership development and strategy facilitation.
