Matt Garman (NEW)

Matt never stops seeking adventure and opportunity. And with raw energy, natural enthusiasm and a strategic mind, he finds it – and if he doesn’t find it – he creates it. Matt successfully built and exited two IT businesses and has since cultivated a network of influential Sales Leaders from all over the UK and further afield. As CEO and founder of Sales Plus Profit, he turns his passion and experience towards helping businesses achieve their real potential.

Entirely self-made, Matt’s first role in the sales arena was that of a commission-only trainee a Sussex based IT reseller MB Computer Services. After establishing himself, he saw the potential of the company and re-mortgaged his house to acquire the business. The company thrived as the rebranded ApexIS, and under Matt’s leadership, profitability and margins increased significantly.

Never one for the status quo, Matt moved on to new adventures. He merged the ApexIS business with Surrey based dhc, where history repeated itself. Matt directly managed high-profile deals, refocused the sales and marketing teams and directed marketing initiatives. After more than doubling the business in size, he, together with his co-directors successfully negotiated its acquisition and exited in 2012.

Soon after the sale, former clients of Matt sought him out for help with their sales challenges. Again, seeing an opportunity, he founded Sales Plus Profit in early 2013. He and his expert team provide business owners with flexible Sales Leaders that can assist sales teams with all manner of challenges surrounding growth, optimisation and exit.

With his trademark passion, expertise, and roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic, Matt enables owner-led businesses find, and leverage, their own adventures and opportunities.

Matt enjoys spending time with his family and visits as many new places as he possible can. He stays in shape for the rigours of raising his two children with running, swimming, indoor rowing and cycling. He’s finished a number of endurance events through to Ironman level and is also an accredited RFU Level 2 rugby coach.

‘Achieving Sustainable Sales Performance Regardless of Changes in Personnel’

Matt Garman, CEO of Sales Plus Profit, will lead delegates through the process that will enable them to develop a sustainable sales system that is fundamental to a successful, high performance sales team. The workshop is for CEOs, MDs and leaders of business.

Overview:

Business owners will often look for a super hero or two when it comes to improving their sales performance. Some think selling is easy, while others grow uncomfortable at the very mention of the word.

In this interactive and engaging Half Day workshop, Matt shares his experience of over 25 years, including how he successfully increased sales within his own companies

The workshop aims to eliminate most of the mystery in the sales process by showing delegates how structure and consistency will allow them to understand and evaluate the overall health and resilience of their sales teams and build a sustainable sales system to underpin consistent high sales performance.

Matt will lead them through a methodology that focuses on four key pillars, critical for the success of any sales team.

The four Pillars:

  • Vision (that everyone in your company understands, buys into and is able to articulate)
  • People (attracting the right people, developing and inspiring them to perform)
  • Process (building and implementing repeatable structure and consistency that generates scale)
  • Management (introducing best practice techniques to measure and motivate staff)

Delegates will be invited to complete a Sales Health Check that will highlight their biggest areas of opportunity to maximise strengths and eliminate weaknesses.

At the end of the session, delegates will have a clear roadmap and the tools to help them develop a sustainable sales system leading to repeatable, scalable and consistent sales performance.
