Growth for you – and growth for us
Vistage has been driving excellence in leadership since 1957. Since then, we’ve expanded to 35 countries, and our proven track record means that we’ve now reached over 45,000 members worldwide.
Our research shows that, on average, Vistage members enjoy 2.2x faster growth than their competitors. We’re here to help them make critical decisions, explore opportunities and overcome challenges – and we do this through the power of our groups, our world-class speakers and, of course, our Vistage Chairs.
For even more business leaders to benefit from the Vistage approach, we need more groups. To open more groups, we need more Vistage Chairs.
In recent months we’ve welcomed five new Vistage Chairs across the UK: meet them below.
Welcome to Vistage, Jane!
Cambridge is a city known for being a hub of innovation. Now, Jane Paterson-Todd is bringing her 24 years of transformational leadership experience to the city’s budding Vistage members.
Jane’s leadership experience covers diverse sectors – including both commercial and non-profit organisations. She’s spearheaded transformation as the CEO of a prominent organisation advancing sustainable growth in Cambridge. She’s created a fundraising department for London’s Barbican Art Centre, bringing on board brand sponsorships and negotiating deals that increased the Centre’s revenue to £4m. She’s turned around a London theatre, commercialising operations to increase revenue by 50% and develop a six-month reserve within a three-year period.
Now, it’s time for Jane’s next challenge: the Vistage Chair role. “Embracing change is at the core of my approach”, she says. “Along with key skills in strategic planning, change management and driving growth, I have an innate curiosity that enables me to go beyond conventional thinking and get the best results.”
Jane also loves to challenge herself in her personal life. She’s represented Great Britain as a triathlete. She’s competed in ultra marathons. She’s also a keen surfer.
We’re excited to welcome Jane to the Vistage fold. As a former Vistage member, she’s witnessed the transformative power of our peer advisory groups first-hand – and we know she’ll be a roaring success on the other side of the table.
Our four new September Chairs
In September, we welcomed four further new Vistage Chairs to the fold.
Philip Ranger has launched his first Vistage group in Thames Ditton, following 40 years of senior leadership experience within listed companies, subsidiaries of multinationals, private equity-owned businesses, global companies and small businesses.
His success stories include developing an app that acquired over 2m users, and leading and founding/co-founding four tech companies.
Philip says, “For me, there is nothing in business as thrilling as helping leaders leverage their strengths to overcome challenges and unlock opportunities, benefitting everyone within a company and their families, not just the leaders.”
We also welcome Ruby Malik to Vistage. She’s launched her group in Molesey after a career that has spanned the UK, Europe and the USA. Her industry experience is in human capital, property management & development and manufacturing, and she has been CEO of two startups, an accredited executive and leadership coach, and senior corporate director of a global management consultancy.
“My passion is to enhance the professional and personal lives of other leaders by accelerating performance, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders; elevating commercial acumen, gravitas and confidence through behavioural change, and personal brand and credibility”, says Ruby. We know her members will benefit a great deal from her knowledge, experience and skillset!
In Brackley, we welcomed Mark Bennett, who has managed world-class companies for 35 years. His career has included achieving team-driven M&A corporate synergy of EUR 140m in three years; leading the MD network of Konecranes across 100+ corporate offices, and holding CFO roles of division segments with a value of up to EUR 1.5bn.
Mark says, “Growing a successful business can resemble walking a tightrope. Sometimes it feels it’s you, and you alone, on that rope balancing customer, stakeholder and staff needs. Having managed world-class companies for 35 years, I know how important it is to have the right people and peers guiding and supporting you on that leadership journey.”
Beaconsfield-based Joe Ulloa has enjoyed a 30-year leadership career, including executive roles in private equity and family-owned organisations, as well as PLCs. Responsible for revenues ranging from £50m to £600m, he has led teams and organisations in cycles of fast growth, transformation, maturity and turnaround. This includes the successful recent turnaround of Clarks, returning the brand to profitability after several loss-making years.
Now, Joe is passionate about fulfilling one of his long-held ambitions: to coach other business leaders to success. He is at his happiest – and his best – when working with others, helping them to achieve their goals.
We look forward to seeing the future successes of our new Chairs’ group members! To find your local Vistage group, click here.
